FINAL CALL

I've nearly spent more time up in the clouds with the birds and high pressure than I do with my feet on the ground.
That's strange when you think about it.
I remember being a kid, looking up to the planes passing right above the postmail rooftop of my house... I would lay there for hours, wonderin' about how I was feeling so small while the sky was... infinite. I wanted to be part of it, live among the stars and never fear to grow old... but I did eventually.

I was aging, oh I was aging, and while the others were marvelling down at the hugeness of the fields and the tininess of the souls on top of it, I was counting out my meal trays of chicken, or cod fish if you're vegetarian and making cocktails at ten in the morning.
I've learned a way to fly with the stars but I'm more worried about having enough tea paper cups.

Today is my last flight
My last flight
This is my last flight

I heard the final call, Ladies and gentlemen. I'm opening another chapter of my life. I'm landing on the ground to marvel at the wonders of the earth, I won't look up or down I'll look out over the ocean, over the fields, my landscape would have no frame... I won't fly anywhere but I'll move slowly to enjoy the journey.
Have a safe flight !
